WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C. — Students and staff in Valle Crucis are finally back under one roof… in a brand new school building. It has been more than a year since hurricane Helene caused severe flooding that damaged the old campus in Watauga County. Since then, classes have been spread across three temporary sites throughout Watauga County.
