The Special Investigations Service (STT) refused to open a pre-trial investigation into the employment of the former mayor of Druskininkai municipality Richard Malinauskas, convicted in a corruption case, in the administration of this municipality.
The Special Investigations Service (STT) has decided not to launch a pre-trial investigation into the employment of former Mayor of Druskininkai, Richard Malinauskas, as chief adviser in the resort administration.
"After assessing the circumstances established during the clarification, on October 12 it was decided to refuse to initiate a pre-trial investigation, as no signs of a criminal act of a corruption nature were identified," STT spokeswoman Renata Keblienė told Elta.
