After strong gusts of wind, thousands of dollars in damage were reported in a Cabazon neighborhood near Freeway 10, where the powerful winds caused widespread destruction. Much of the damage is concentrated on Esperanza Avenue, near Main Street, where the gusts brought down trees, power lines, traffic signs, and even trailers and manufactured homes.
