'Stop the genocide': Thousands of Jews, Arabs rally in Tel Aviv against Gaza war, hunger
The Protest, Organized by the Umbrella Group for Arab Citizens of Israel, Was Scaled Back After Police Capped Participation Under Threat of Revoking Approval. Demonstrators Held Images of Starving Children in Gaza, as a Police Officer Warned: 'What Happens in the Village Will Not Happen Here in Tel Aviv'
Ahed Tamimi, known from a very young age as a vocal Palestinian activist, spoke on a podcast about how every Jew is an enemy to her, the global media should "shut up when a Palestinian speaks," and the countries of the world must help the Palestinians without gratitude because they are suffering from "genocide because of your mistakes."
At the end of the demonstration, an activist who participated was arrested on suspicion of incitement. The demonstrators carried signs that read "Enough with the genocide," and waved pictures of malnourished Gazan children. A protest march was originally planned, but yesterday the Tel Aviv police commander announced that it was not approved "due to an excess of events" that needed to be secured.
