  • Albany detectives charged the 28-year-old man with six offences, including two counts of trespass, two counts of stealing motor vehicles, burglary, and stealing, after police arrested him shortly post-crash.
  • Owner Daniel Campbell said three new fuel pumps, the building front, and stock were destroyed, with damage estimated at $1,000,000; the accused was granted bail for medical treatment and will appear in Albany Magistrates Court on September 18.
  • Local farmers warn, Geoff Pearson, cattle producer, reported 200 costly incidents and solicitor Philip Brunner urged legal changes, saying `It seems to me, in the context of agriculture, perhaps there's room for that type of legal remedy for farmers to exercise as well`.
