Citroen Plots New Entry-Level Car For India Under Stellantis' FaSTLAne 2030 Roadmap
The rollout includes seven all-new models and five major upgrades as Stellantis aims to triple its India market share by 2030.
On Thursday, Stellantis announced plans to invest ₹4,000 crore in India and launch 12 products across Jeep and Citro brands over three years, aiming to triple its market share by 2030.
The rollout comprises seven all-new models and five major upgrades, with a Citro A-segment car designed to make the brand "more accessible" to a larger customer base, the company said.
Shailesh Hazela, managing director and chief executive officer of Stellantis India, said the expanded portfolio will give "Indian customers more relevant choices" while targeting 90 per cent localisation across Jeep and Citro.
Supporting this growth, the automaker aims to increase exports to 60% of manufacturing output by 2030, leveraging facilities in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra, and Thiruvallur and Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
Under its 2030 roadmap, vehicles developed in India will support the group's Asia-Pacific strategy, with plans to manufacture left-hand-drive versions for more than 50 additional global markets.
