- The 1.85-km, four-lane road used about 200,000 tonnes of processed EAF steel slag and is designed to handle heavy commercial traffic with 65 million axle repetitions.
- The project fully replaced natural aggregates with processed steel slag, saving around 200,000 tonnes of virgin stone and reducing quarrying impacts.
- The pavement is about 35% thinner than usual and achieves construction cost savings of up to 40%, according to Jindal Steel's Chairman.
