BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Friday night, the South Warren Spartan football squad will face off at home against the Ryle Raiders for a chance to play in the Class 6A championship game at Kroger Field. News 40’s Cole Scott caught up with the Spartans prior to the matchup that will extend one team’s season into December and send the other’s into the offseason.

The South Warren football team kept it simple in the second half, turning a halftime deficit into a 36-20 win over Ryle in the semifinals of the 6A playoffs on Friday at South Warren High School. Led by a huge night from senior running back Kayden York, South Warren (13-0) used three lengthy second half drives to take control and advance to next week’s title game  in its first year in Class 6A.
