National authorities and Chuquisaqueñas, parliamentarians and business sectors rejected on Tuesday the statements of the ambassador of Iran to Bolivia, Bahram Shahabeddin, who expressed on Monday his desire that Cochabamba become the capital of the country. The Foreign Ministry, for its part, issued a statement reminding diplomats accredited in Bolivia that they should not interfere in internal affairs.
The diplomat made that statement after attending the act of possession of Leonardo Loza as Cochabambino governor. His words generated claims from national and subnational authorities.
