Governor Signs New Laws on Sexual Assault

BOSTON – Governor Maura Healey held two ceremonial signings on Friday, July 24, for two laws included in the FY 2027 state budget related to sexual assault. The first law eliminates the statute of limitations for cases of rape when new DNA evidence identifies a suspect.
