State law puts charters first in line for closing schools

A charter school could seek to open in any Logan County school approved for closure, and the county would have to give it the first chance, under a state law reflected in one of more than two dozen policy changes the Logan County Board of Education took up during its most recent regular meeting Oct. 13.
