Audit Finds Issues with Arizona’s Affordable Housing Inspections

Auditors said the agency missed health and safety violations, delayed owner notices by up to 115 days and left 53 tenant files incomplete.

The Arizona Department of Housing did not conduct inspections for one or more federal health and safety standards in the units it used tax credits to help finance, according to a new report.
