Two friends travelled 131 km between Albertville and La Plagne on Lyon self-service bicycles.
Some draw the tongue. Others fall down on the ground. All show great smiles. Thus was played the finish at La Plagne of the 16,000 riders of the amateur stage of the Tour de France on Sunday 20 July. 131 km and 4500 m of positive elevation later, pride comes close to fatigue.

The riders of the Tour de France rest Monday, July 21, day without stage, before attacking the summit of the Alps on Tuesday, 22. In Savoie, the riders were preceded Sunday, July 20, by thousands of amateurs from all over the world to take part in "the stage of the tour", a race under the same conditions as the professionals.
