Aarhus Letbane orders tram-trains with batteries for winter operation
DENMARK: Stadler Valencia is to supply the Aarhus Letbane with eight Citylink tram-trains designed for ‘challenging’ winter conditions, with traction batteries able to provide power for up to 10 km if the overhead wires are iced-over.
Stadler Rail has landed an order in Denmark. The East Swiss train builder delivers eight trams to Aarhus. In addition, there is an option for another twelve trams and spare parts management.
