AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - In July of 2022, four year old Israel Scott drowned during a private swim lesson in Burke County. The tragedy led Georgia lawmakers to pass Izzy's law designed to protect children and adults around water. The Israel Scott foundation and the Kroc Center are teaming up for water safety.
