Spinner Subrayen praises Proteas bowling response against Zimbabwe after Namibia setback
Cricket South Africa said Lutho Sipamla has a left hamstring injury, and Andile Simelane will replace him for the rest of the tri-series.
Cricket South Africa announced Sunday that DP World Lions seamer Lutho Sipamla is ruled out of the remainder of the T20 International Tri-series against Namibia and Zimbabwe due to a left hamstring injury.
Sipamla, 28, sustained the injury while bowling during his second over of South Africa's 18-run loss to Namibia in Windhoek on Friday.
Before his withdrawal, Sipamla completed only 1.3 overs and conceded 16 runs, with all-rounder Andile Simelane named as his replacement.
The Proteas rebounded from the defeat with a seven-wicket victory over Zimbabwe on Saturday, featuring wicketkeeper-batter Connor Esterhuizen in the lineup.
South Africa faces Zimbabwe on Tuesday and Namibia on Friday as it seeks to book a spot in the tri-series final scheduled for Sunday.
