Spielberg (Austria) - Filip Salač set a track record in the Moto2 class in free practice for the Austrian Grand Prix. With a time of 1:33.427 minutes, he beat his previous best by 34 thousandths of a second. He then lost the track record in the main practice. He took fifth place and advanced directly to the second part of Saturday's qualifying.
In the time training of the Moto2 class in Spielberg, Intact driver Manuel Gonzalez set a lap record. Aron Canet and Ivan Ortola followed in ranks 2 and 3. Diogo Moreira finished 6th.
