“Everybody Was Crying,” Fano Brothers Reunite in Cleveland
Spencer Fano, the Browns’ ninth overall pick, will work against his older brother Logan, an undrafted signing, on the practice field this weekend.
On Friday, Cleveland Browns rookie Spencer Fano lined up at left tackle directly across from his older brother, Logan Fano, at defensive end during the first day of rookie minicamp.
While the Browns selected Spencer in the draft two weeks ago, the team signed Logan as an undrafted free agent, reuniting the siblings on the professional practice field.
Logan estimated the brothers have faced off in "more than 1,000" one-on-one reps throughout their athletic careers, making Friday's NFL practice field matchup a milestone moment.
"Obviously I'm freaking ecstatic," Spencer said about the opportunity. Logan, who overcame multiple ACL injuries at BYU and Utah, views the moment as another chapter in overcoming adversity.
Spencer is projected to start at left tackle for the Browns, while Logan faces a competitive path to secure a spot on the 53-man roster during training camp.
