SpaceX’s Starship rocket explodes in second test flight after reaching new milestones
SpaceX's Starship, designed to carry astronauts to the moon and beyond, successfully launched on a repeat test flight from Texas after its first attempt ended in an explosion.
The massive two-part rocket system, consisting of the Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy booster, took off from the Starbase launch site and aimed to reach space in a planned 90-minute uncrewed flight.
The successful test flight is a significant step towards SpaceX's goal of developing a large spacecraft capable of sending people and cargo to the moon and Mars.
