A Last-Minute Guide to Voting in Tuesday’s Primary Election
More than 700,000 Coloradans have already voted as Democrats and Republicans compete in contested governor, Senate and House primaries.
On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, Colorado voters head to the polls for primary elections featuring competitive races for governor, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House seats, with all ballots due by 7 p.m.
Unaffiliated voters, who comprise more than half of Colorado's electorate, may participate in party primaries thanks to a 2016 ballot measure, shaping contests for open statewide offices including governor, secretary of state, and attorney general.
More than 780,000 Coloradans submitted ballots as of Monday, though voters who missed the mail-in deadline can still register and cast votes in person at 137 voter centers until 7 p.m. tonight.
Candidates who win today will advance to the November general election, where Democrats have maintained an advantage in recent statewide races in the state.
Most counties will report results through midnight on Election Day and return Wednesday to finish counting, as officials anticipate a slow process due to high volumes of last-minute ballot submissions.
