South Point set to refuse garbage bids

SOUTH POINT — The Village of South Point has received bids for their garbage collection services, but they are being refused, Mayor Jeff Gaskin said. Gaskin said four came into pick up bid packets and they were scheduled to be unsealed next week. However, he said after meeting with the village attorney they have decided to rewrite and refuse the bids received so far. This is the first time South Point has bid out the garbage contract.
