The SolarStratos solar-powered aircraft continued its preparatory flights on Friday for its 10,000-meter altitude record attempt. Taking off from Sion and with Raphaël Domjan at the controls, HB-SXA climbed to over 4,000 meters.

SolarStratos, a prototype of a solar plane piloted by a traveler, Rafael Domjan, flies past Mount Matterhorn. During a reconnaissance and test flight near the Alpine village, the team tries to reach 10,000 metres (this will be a world precedent) before reaching its primary goal, the stratosphere.
