The 2025 Social Security budget finally adopted after a final vote in the Senate

France: Social Security 2025 budget finally adopted in Parliament
Parliament finally adopted the draft budget of the Social Security for 2025 after a final vote by the Senate (225 votes in favour, 104 against) on Monday, February 17, putting an end to a long budget document launched in October and marked by the censorship of the previous government.
The Social Security budget is in the process of final adoption in the Senate
Despite the general dissatisfaction, the final version of the text in the Palais du Luxembourg is expected to be adopted quickly, with a deficit slightly above EUR 22 billion, which is a record in a period when there is no economic recession or health crisis.
