UK Snack Company that Broke Advertising Rules Enters Administration After Four Years
The firm was appointed an administrator after the Advertising Standards Authority found misleading claims and promotional rule breaches on its website.
Subscription snack service SnackVerse Limited collapsed into administration on Monday after four years in business. The firm delivers international snack boxes to subscribers, leaving its future unclear as insolvency proceedings begin.
The Advertising Standards Authority scrutinized the company throughout 2026 for breaching promotional marketing rules. In May, the ASA ruled SnackVerse made 'misleading claims' about box contents; an October ruling followed regarding deceptive countdown timers.
With more than 35,000 Instagram followers, the brand attracted significant social engagement. Subscription boxes started at £7.99 for the smallest size, with standard and premium options containing various snacks and drinks.
Kieran Bourne of Cromwell & Co Insolvency Practitioners was appointed administrator to manage the company's affairs. Jennifer Verdon of Cromwell Insolvency Limited handles inquiries at 0800 061 4002.
Several other companies have ceased trading or entered administration amid a difficult 2026 for the UK retail sector. Recent closures include retailer Poundland and entertainment store Zavvi, highlighting broader economic volatility.
