Smokies Add NAHL Forward Ty Izadi

Trail, British Columbia (July 15, 2026) — The Trail Smoke Eaters are proud to announce the commitment of forward Ty Izadi for the 2026-27 British Columbia Hockey League season. The 5’11”, 170-lb forward will come to Trail after spending the past two seasons in the North American Hockey League. Last season, the Long Beach, California native suited up for the Amarillo Wranglers, recording 15 goals and 19 assists in 46 games. During the 2024-25 campaign, Izadi split time between the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks and Amarillo, combining for 20 points (8 goals, 12 assists) in 53 NAHL games. Prior to making the jump to junior hockey, Izadi developed with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks AAA program, where he established himself as a consistent offensive contributor while competing against some of the top players in the United States. “We’re excited to welcome Ty and his family to Trail,” said Smoke Eaters General Manager & Head Coach Eric Thurston. “Ty is a hardworking, two-way forward who competes every shift and has played in a very demanding league. He brings speed, character and a relentless work ethic that fits exactly how we want to play. We believe there’s still plenty of upside in his game, and we’re looking forward to helping him continue his development.” Izadi is eager to take the next step in his hockey career with the Smoke Eaters. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to join such a respected organization,” said Izadi. “I’ve heard great things about the team, the fans and the community.
