During the Olympic Games, the Slovenian House, built by the Olympic Committee of Slovenia, operated in Cortina d'Ampezzo. Just a few steps from the fan zone, it was a meeting place for athletes, sports officials and visitors, and the venue for 25 events.
The Milano-Cortina Games were very close to the Slovenian border for the first time in a long time.
