The Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) has rejected the claims of Slovak government representative Peter Kotlár after analyzing COVID-19 vaccines. Referring to his alleged findings, he claimed that mRNA vaccines contain an increased amount of DNA and pose a health risk. The academy examined the vaccines at the initiative of the government of Prime Minister Robert Fico.
The Slovak government's commissioner for the state's investigation of coronavirus infections, Kotlár, claimed in March this year that mRNA vaccines against Covid-19 can cause cancer in vaccinated people and change human DNA. He also compared vaccinated people to genetically modified corn and advocated a ban on the use of these vaccines. The Slovak Academy of Sciences is no longer waiting for the minister and has issued a short statement - denying Kotlár's claims and speaking about the manipulation of public fear, which seriously threatens health.
Statements about high amounts of DNA in vaccines are "false and misleading," according to the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
