A 22-year-old skier collided face-first with a taut steel cable on Friday evening in Sölden (Imst district). She was skiing down to the valley with a 20-year-old after après-ski when a lift company employee was grooming the slopes and securing a steel cable at the intersection of two runs. The 22-year-old suffered facial injuries but was able to make her way down to the valley on her own after receiving first aid from her companion.
