Skeletal Remains Found in Baltimore County Identified as Missing New Jersey Woman
Baltimore County police say the cause and manner of death remain under investigation after the remains were found in a tributary of Back River.
Baltimore County Police positively identified skeletal remains found on July 17 at the Maryland Route 702 and Interstate 695 interchange as 46-year-old New Jersey resident Kimberly Gordon.
Gordon had been reported missing by the Lopatcong Township Police Department in New Jersey after she was last seen alive on June 21 behind Sky Zone East Baltimore in Rosedale.
Officers located the remains in a tributary of Back River, with police describing the condition as "badly decomposed" when discovered.
Investigators recovered Gordon's 2024 white Hyundai Elantra displaying a wide-load sign, while the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner performed an autopsy to determine cause of death.
