On Monday, February 24, 2025, Jonathan Hardin Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, gifted approximately 50 patriotic books to the Faith Academy of Freestone in Fairfield in celebration of the United States’ upcoming 250th birthday (semi-sesquicentennial) on July 4, 2026. Simpson County DAR dedicates plaque for America's 250th

With the 250th anniversary of the United States approaching in July 2026, the Simpson County Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution has placed a bronze Revolutionary War Patriots plaque at the historic Simpson County Courthouse.
