The first Kyushu Amateur Rugby Tournament was held on November 29th and 30th at Kakidomari Stadium in the Benex General Athletic Park in Nagasaki City, with the prefecture's representative Shisa Club losing 12-62 to Higo Bank (Kumamoto) in the semi-finals and coming in third place. In the final, Hobashira Club (Fukuoka) defeated Higo Bank 24-11 to win the championship.
