Sheriff refutes reports of inmate death

Butler County Sheriff David Scruggs says that a recent report claiming that an inmate died in custody is untrue. According to Scruggs, three inmates were found unresponsive on Oct. 8 and were transported to Regional Medical Center in Greenville, where all were released without treatment.
