The Turkish Civil Aviation Authority has announced a significant change in the country's environmental policy, with the implementation of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) obligations by airlines and fuel suppliers. The aim is to reduce emissions from the air sector by 5% by 2030, aligning Turkey with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) emission reduction plan, which is scheduled to enter into force in 2027.
