Once considered one of the best tennis players in the world and earning millions during her career, Arantxa Sanchez Vicario, 54, says she has lost everything. In an emotional television appearance, she revealed that she has lost her entire fortune, worth around 36 million euros, which she blames on her ex-husband Josep Santacano.
As far as the financial situation is concerned, things have taken an unexpected turn for the former champion.
There were few better female tennis players in the 1990s. Spanish fighter Arantxa Sánchez Vicario won a total of fourteen Grand Slam titles and four Olympic medals. She made a fortune playing tennis, but now says she's left with nothing but debt. "I fell blindly in love with the wrong person," she confided.
