Nebraska Baseball Chosen to Host First NCAA Baseball Regional Since 2008
Nebraska earned the No. 10 RPI and 42 wins, bolstering its case to host after finishing second in the Big Ten.
The NCAA announced Sunday evening that Nebraska will host an NCAA Tournament regional at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park, marking the program's first time hosting since 2008.
Nebraska head coach Will Bolt advocated for hosting Saturday, citing the team's 42-15 record and Top-10 RPI. "Our body of work speaks for itself," Bolt said, noting the Huskers' second-place conference finish.
Husker Athletics announced that all-session tickets for the Lincoln Regional go on sale to the public on Tuesday at 3 p.m. Reserved seats cost $91; adult general admission is $56.
On Monday at 11 a.m. CDT, the full field and pairings for the 2026 NCAA Tournament will be announced on ESPN2. The top 16 seeds will host four teams each in double-elimination regionals.
Regional games are scheduled Friday through Monday, marking Nebraska's 20th overall regional appearance and the seventh time Lincoln has hosted. The winner advances to a super regional.
