- On Tuesday, Julian Alvarez scored his first goal in six months, leveling Atletico Madrid's match 1-1 against Stuttgart in the Champions League after Ademola Lookman's assist.
- Atletico's draw left them 15th in the Champions League table on four points, following a defeat at Anfield and a win over Manchester United last week.
- Stuttgart took the lead through Jamie Leweling in the 36th minute before Alvarez's first-time finish equalized; Morten Hjulmand's red card forced Atletico to play the final half hour with 10 men.
- Coach Diego Simeone told Movistar, "I was sure the goal was going to come," highlighting his confidence despite the numerical disadvantage affecting the team's ability to control the game.
- Atletico faces Bayern Munich in a demanding Champions League match on November 3, with full-back Alejandro Grimaldo saying, "He needed that goal," expressing hope Alvarez's breakthrough signals improved form.
