The Quinte Judo Club was well represented at the Golden North Open Judo Championships in Peterborough on Saturday. Roya Shafai earned third place in the women’s 57-kg division. Shafai ended her first match in about 10 seconds for full point. In judo, throwing an opponent flat on their back, or pinning them for 20 seconds will end the four-minute bout early.
