Severn Trent CEO Liv Garfield to step down after 11 years
James Jesic will succeed Liv Garfield as CEO after her 11-year tenure, following a 60% rise in pre-tax profits and upgraded full-year guidance.
- Earlier this year Severn Trent chief executive Liv Garfield announced she will step down after 11 years and be succeeded by James Jesic, with Garfield staying until the end of March next year to assist the handover.
- Severn Trent said in its interim results that, on September 30, the group reported half‑year pre-tax profits jumped 60% to 307.8 million and upgraded its guidance.
- After a 21% bill rise in April, the company said the average household now set to pay 556 and plans about 15 billion in upgrades over five years.
- Jesic, a chartered engineer who joined in 2003, will earn 775000, below Ms Garfield's 873200, as he is named incoming chief executive, according to the group.
- The board said Garfield leaves the company in a strong position as Severn expects to halve storm overflow spills to around 13 in 2025 and James Jesic will join the board next year.
