Seven people killed in multi-vehicle chain collision in Karnataka

Seven people, including six college students, died when a high-speed SUV collided with a motorcycle and truck, triggering a chain crash on a national highway, police said.

  • Bengaluru Rural police said seven people died in a chain crash around 4:40 a.m. near M Satyavara village on the Hoskote–Dabaspete National Highway.

  • An NHAI patrolling team alerted jurisdictional police, who registered a case and shifted bodies to Hoskote Government Hospital for post-mortem, officials said.
  • Police said investigations will probe the driver's alleged high speed and possible intoxication while tracing the movements and identifying the three remaining unidentified victims.
