Saturday night a major fire broke out in a high-voltage substation on the Scheldelaan, in the Antwerp port area. The Antwerp Fire Department came en masse to the scene to fight the fire, the fire was under control around 1:30 am.

There were no casualties and there is no disruption to neighbouring companies. The Scheldelaan is closed between the Noordlandbrug and the Berendrecht-Zandvliet lock complex.
