Garcia Returns to DP World Tour and Targets Ryder Cup
Sergio Garcia says he will play full time on the DP World Tour in 2027 and is open to a PGA Tour return.
The 46-year-old Spaniard Sergio Garcia announced he will play full time on the World Tour in 2027. "I'm proud to call it home again," Garcia said on Thursday.
Garcia is departing LIV Golf after four years on the breakaway circuit, which is emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy with a $300 million pledge from Partners Credit and without Saudi money.
Seeking redemption, the Spaniard expressed ambition to join the European team for the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Ireland this September and stated, "I can't wait to get back to the Masters."
His departure follows other high-profile exits from the circuit; Jon Rahm, Louis Oosthuizen, Ian Poulter, and Tyrrell Hatton have also separated from LIV.
While focusing on mental health and a strong mindset, Garcia is keeping his options open for a return to the PGA Tour while building on his legacy as Europe's all-time leading scorer.
