The Rio de Janeiro court has ordered former governor Sérgio Cabral to pay R$ 1 million in damages for collective moral harm, due to a scheme of undue benefits granted to him during his imprisonment. The decision was made by the 4th Chamber of Public Law and can still be appealed.
