Senior B.C. Mountie facing assault charges to plead not guilty: Lawyer

A senior British Columbia RCMP officer, David Teboul, intends to plead not guilty to assault charges, according to his lawyer, David Butcher.
Teboul faces two counts of assault and one count of assault causing bodily harm stemming from an alleged incident in July.
The trial is expected to last six days, with the next hearing scheduled for December 18.
Special prosecutor Andi MacKay was appointed to ensure that there is no improper influence in the case.
