Under House Joint Resolution 1F (HJR1F), the homestead exemption would rise to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028. According to the city’s impact sheet, Milton has 4,481 residential homes, including 2,051 homesteaded properties. Currently, 258 of those homes, about 12.6%, pay no city property taxes.
