The olive tree, planted in 2011 in Epinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis), some ten kilometres north of Paris, was shot dead on the night of 13-14 August.
Brahim and Ismaël K. received their sentences confirmed on Wednesday 18 March by the Paris Court of Appeal for the destruction of the olive tree planted in memory of Ilan Halimi in Epinay-sur-Seine. The judges dismissed the anti-Semitic offence, for lack of evidence of "injury of his memory because of his religious affiliation".
