Historic blizzard brings heavy snow to upper Midwest

Spring is starting soon, but winter isn't going down without a fight. High winds and heavy snow shut down Green Bay, Wisconsin, prompting a city official to declare it a once-in-a-decade storm. Ian Lee reports and Lonnie Quinn has the forecast.

It'll be hard for many to forget the Blizzard of March 2026. Some spots in the state from Marshfield through Wausau and Green Bay (and surrounding areas) have reports of two feet up to almost three feet of snow.

The storm hit hardest in northeast and northern Wisconsin, with snow total reports to the National Weather Service that included 33.2 inches in Sturgeon Bay.
