ING: 1 in 5 executives almost certain that AI will replace jobs

Nearly one in five directors of large Dutch companies almost certainly expects that artificial intelligence (AI) will eventually replace jobs. That is considerably more than last year, when 6 percent of directors thought so. According to them, positions in customer service, IT and research departments will be particularly affected. This is evident from research by ING among 263 top directors.

Bijna een op de vijf bestuurders van grote Nederlandse bedrijven verwacht vrijwel zeker dat kunstmatige intelligentie (AI) op termijn banen zal vervangen. Dat is flink meer dan vorig jaar, toen 6 procent van de bestuurders er zo over dacht. Vooral functies in de klantenservice-, IT- en onderzoeksafdelingen zullen volgens hen worden getroffen. Dat komt naar voren uit onderzoek van ING onder 263 topbestuurders.
