In Gorinchem, the area around the Evenementenhal on Franklinweg is designated as a security risk area this weekend. There is "a real threat of excessive violent incidents (explosions)" at the ‘Dientjes Shopping Event XL’ event in that hall, reports Mayor Reinie Melissant. According to her, this is based on an assessment by the police. The source of the threat is unknown. The municipality has not yet responded to questions from the ANP.
