Security forces kill seven terrorists in North Waziristan IBO: state media
On Friday, security forces killed seven militants during an intelligence-based operation in the Eidak area of North Waziristan, security sources said.
The operation targeted militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij, the state-designated term for the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan , as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the successful operation, while Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called the personnel the 'nation's heroes.'
Data from the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies showed 225 militant attacks occurred across the country in September, a 13% increase compared to August.
Security forces remain committed to establishing lasting peace under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, with officials pledging vigorous operations against all terrorist elements until their complete elimination.
