The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is notifying motorists that the CBS Highway is closed in both directions in the area of Sobeys, Long Pond, due to a collision that has resulted in a downed wire. The CBS Highway near Sobeys, Long Pond is closed in both directions after a collision resulting in a downed wire. Traffic is currently being redirected through the Sobeys parking lot. RNC is urging the public to avoid the area for the time being. An update will be provided when the road reopens.
